on the street paved with cold
the warmth of your hand

silent walk
each footstep disappears
with the sound of rain

cherry buds still the cold wind blows

walking down a dark street echoes of loneliness

summer love - the blue depth of sky in your eyes

watching you leave
cold raindrops
drip down the window

cries of wild geese --
with every blast of wind
the reeds bend more

smell of morning dew
Cosmos swaying
among the roadside grass

what pine trees taught me --
to embrace all of life
even the cold wind

door bell rings
peeking through neighbor's fence
camellias

still lingers
scent of chrysanthemums --
my thoughts of you

beds of reeds
with geese arriving
early winter drizzle

ebbing of the tide
a sea gull sits for a while
on the broken pier

thinking of
writing you a letter --
tonight’s moon

waning moon –
a chrysanthemum drops
in the night’s cold

the weightlessness
of a falling leaf
morning quiet

as night breeze
brings tree shadow to my pillow
autumn deepens

no leaf left: only  
raindrops linger on twigs
calls of a song thrush

birds too
silent for the dreary sky --

old pine tree —
you read me a poem
written hundreds of years ago

from which direction
the wind’s fragrance --
a cyclamen sways

I pick a gold ginkgo leaf
on the way home

last wispy smoke

morning mirror no reflection of yesterday

waits-for the Fall
a blackbird pecks at berry leaves

stars
